So we can finally post these images after sending Godfrey Hirst and Feltex artwork to print, they look beautiful printed! Home Style you really need these images! This was a whirl wind photography shoot in which we visited The Block NZ and photographed the interior spaces. On pack down the lense cap in my back pocket needed a wipe down! Yip, we really worked hard and fast, perhaps its the nature of such a production, every person on site is pushed to tight schedules.
Whilst not being an avid follower and have to admit to quickly watching snippets of episodes online the day before we were blown away at the styling of some of the spaces, especially when considering the essence of time and TV personalities are always in question.
Different personalities certainly created different styles and it was fascinating to experience the expressions and feels in each house.

Art in the Dark lights up Western Park this November 13th - 16th November from 8pm-midnight. Installations, short films and performances have the park glowing with ingenuity. One of our favourite Auckland events combined with a stop in at Ponsonby's Late Night Diner it is guaranteed to be a great night out.

This week the Light Show opened at the Auckland Art Gallery and its all a little bit exciting!
Really can't wait to see all the artworks in this show and see how light has been crafted and interpreted in each installation, to bath in colours as we explore the spaces. Nothing exists for us as designers and photographers without light so its the perfect medium to work with. This write up by Anthony Byrt featuring in Metro Magazine has to make you smile - "A big part of the Light Shows popularity in London was the eye-candy element; light sculpture can be extra ordinarily seductive. Several leading UK critics noted this. In praising the exhibition for its theatricality, beauty and sensory extravagance, they were also slightly suspicious of how much they'd enjoyed it, asking where, in the end, they were supposed to find its argumentative edge. " It's great to see a gallery embracing experience as a worthy concept!

We get excited to see local talent and today we saw Neil from Reflect Icon take his craft to the streets of Papakura. Neil is a sign writer with plenty of experience, passion which never fades and a skill set that can only be described as old school. On this sunny April day it was a delight to celebrate keeping genuine crafts alive, especially in an industry which is all about time pressures. Thanks Neil for extending the invitation. Next time you're in need of a coffee, pop into the Courtyard Cafe on Broadway, you can't miss its new quintessential 1920's facelift!
